In 1991, River Bed Ranch began to establish itself in the Utah alpaca market. We started as a small farm focusing on black alpacas and continue to maintain that status today by turning over our stock on a steady basis. Many of the small farms now raising alpacas in Utah and neighboring states got their start off of our ranch. It is with great pride that we support and contribute to the growing alpaca livestock investment in our area.

Our emphasis on black alpacas remains strong. As is the case with black alpacas, however, some other colors will surface occasionally in the offspring. This creates a nice contrast in our field and in our sales list. Nevertheless, we remain the Utah alpaca farm with the largest inventory of black alpacas for sale. And having recently expanded our foundation herd to include Accoyo and Peruvian bloodlines, River Bed Ranch has some exceptional huacaya and suri alpacas for sale.
